Aravine's Birthday

We celebrated Aravine's birthday at our house. Aravine invited the local Pastor to come over and pray and give a little message. It began with the Pastor's blessing.

Cody decorated some cakes for his birthday.
This is Aravine and his mom. She comes to my ladies tea sometimes and also her daughter Babyronny.
Please pray for Aravine. He came to a faith in Papa right around the time we first moved here. He has been mentored by Andy and Cody and other STN boys, but now this summer has picked up the bad habits again that are so easy to cling to in Arugambay. When these boys get fishing and have great days with many catches, they spend so much of their money on abusing liquor and smoking. They also are swayed by the surfing tourists that come through during surf season; they mostly come here to surf and party.
We were excited  for Aravine to ask us if he could use our house and yard for the party; we have a lot of space and many chairs (for family night and movie night). We were happy that he didn't want to have his party at alcohol serving restaurants or the local club Mambos. Cody even made Aravine a surf video with lots of clips of him surfing and his friends. But as soon as it was over, him and some friends were off to the bar. One of our biggest struggles is helping these boys to fully give their lives to Papa and surrender the things of this world. The enemy knows where to attack and never lets up. Please pray for some of these boys that "know" truth yet walk in the ways of the world: some names to pray for are Aravine and Chootie Patah.
Thank you.
