Cody and Atta's Sailfish

If you haven't read Cody's story on Facebook, here goes…..

My first Sailfish, 88Lbs on 30lb line=45min. battle. We were on anchor using live bait and my bait started acting fanatic so I started giving it line and it started going out faster and faster so with all my power I loaded the rod and set the hook. He immediately started jumping as he stripped my line. I told Aatha put a buoy on the anchor line now! We have to chase this guy or he will strip all my line. As he was getting the anchor loose my fishing reel was getting so hot from the line being stripped I had to pour water on it. I started counting down to Aatha how many seconds we had before I ran out of line and just in the nick of time we broke free, started the engine and began the battle that lasted 45 min. and ended with Aatha sticking a perfect gaff in the tail and holding on with all his might as we both heaved it into the boat. :)

Atta's been spending a lot of time with Cody lately fishing, surfing and such. He even started coming back to Bible Study and is attending church. Something seems different in him and we are praying for him. Most of his family are Christians, but he's a bit skeptical. He asks a lot of questions though, and seems to be searching and see him being drawn toward Cody (in essence- toward God). Pray for him please!
