We decided to buy a washing machine to create a job for some of the local girls. A few different girls will take turns and they will make between $3.50- $4.00 USD a load of laundry (which is pretty good pay). They will wash, hang dry (also at our house), fold, and return the laundry. I have helped Mona with her first two customers, and she is very excited to have some income. With fishing season being over, these girls are happy to have something to help out financially. It's also a fun time for me to hang out with the girls and help them. Thanks to those of you who have helped to create a job for some of the families here.

A New Job For The Local Girls

What a blessing to the community. I had no clue that you had a blog too. I am quite excited about this. I miss your smile and insight so much. David and I often talk about your adventures in Sri Lanka. We are so excited for all of you.
